Business Visit Visa
Business visas are issued to: Representatives of Australian companies, Managers, Sales Managers, Sales representatives, etc.
Saudi Arabia Business Visit Visa Requirements
Please ensure all of the following documents are provided in A4 format and in the same order. A signed copy of this checklist must be included as a cover letter with your application.
Important Note: You may be required to provide additional documents or information for the visa process, if requested by the Saudi mission.
- Passport
- Requirement: The original passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of submission. It should be in good condition, with at least two blank pages facing each other, and no valid visa to Saudi Arabia.
- Photos
- Requirement: Provide two passport-size photos with a white background. One photo should be stapled to the application form, while the other is attached separately.
- Application Form
- Requirement: Submit a fully completed visa application form with all required details. Ensure the form is signed and submitted in original form.
- Mandatory fields: Current & Previous Nationality, Religion, Marital Status, Address, Mobile Number, Email, and Port of Entry.
- Saudi Sponsor Approved Invitation
- Requirement: Provide a COPY of the MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) approved invitation letter issued and activated by MoFA.
- The Sponsor ID and pre-approval visa number must be clearly visible on the invitation letter.
- Employer Introduction Letter
- Requirement:
- For Australian Employers: Provide a letter from the Australian employer, signed and stamped by the Australian Chamber of Commerce. The stamp should be original, no photocopies accepted.
- For Non-Australian Employers: Provide the company letter with the same details as required above, stamped by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
- Letter must include:
- Addressed to: The Saudi Consulate in Sydney, Australia (based on the destination mentioned in the invitation letter).
- Visa Category and Number of Entries.
- Company’s activity and mission in Australia.
- Applicant’s name and passport number.
- Applicant’s non-technical occupation.
- Purpose of travel.
- Name and address of Saudi sponsor as per the invitation.
- Personal Letter
- Requirement: Submit a personal letter detailing your current business background.
- Passport Copy
- Requirement: Provide a copy of the front page of your passport containing personal details, passport number, and expiry date.
- For Australian Citizens applying with a non-Australian passport, also provide a copy of your Australian passport.
- Declaration Form
- Requirement: The original declaration form should be carefully read, signed, and submitted with your application.

Saudi Arabia Government Visit Visa Requirements

5a. Australian Employer Introduction Letter
- Requirement: Provide a letter from the Australian employer, which should clearly include the following details:
- The letter must be addressed to the Saudi Consulate in Sydney, Australia (as per the destination mentioned in the invitation letter).
- Visa category and number of entries.
- Company activity and mission in Australia.
- Applicant’s name and passport number.
- Applicant’s non-technical occupation.
- Purpose of travel.
- Name and address of the Saudi sponsor as given in the invitation letter.
5b. Non-Australian Employer Introduction Letter
- Requirement: If the applicant is from a non-Australian company, provide a letter with the same details as listed above. The letter should be stamped by DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and submitted in original.
- Passport Copy
- Requirement: Provide a copy of the front page of your passport, containing personal details, passport number, and expiry date.
- If applying with a non-Australian passport, provide a copy of your Australian passport as well.

This visa is made available for family members who wish to accompany a business man who is applying for a business visa by virtue of his position as business man, manager, director, etc., and who wants to take his family with him. They must have an invitation letter or visa number from Saudi Arabia showing their name. They should also provide proof of their relationship to the businessman by forwarding the original Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificate, etc. with copy for the embassy, or a copy which has been stamped from a Notary Public, or police station.
Employment/ Work Visa
Saudi Arabia Work (Employment) Visa Requirements
Applicants over 60 years and under 21 years old cannot apply under this visa type, unless granted an exception by the Saudi Consulate.
Please ensure all of the following documents are provided in A4 format and in the same order. A signed copy of this checklist must be included as a cover letter with your application.

- Requirement: Provide a COPY of the MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) invitation letter that has been issued and activated by MoFA. The Sponsor ID and pre-approval visa number must be clearly visible on the letter.
- Power of Attorney (E-Wakala)
- Requirement: Provide the number of Electronic Power of Attorney (E-Wakala) under the applicant’s name with the same occupation as listed in the Authorization letter and employment contract.
- If the sponsor is a Government organization, provide the original Power of Attorney letter, stamped by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce, indicating the visa authorization number, date of authorization, and job title.
- Note: Any Power of Attorney under Tasheer’s name will be rejected.
- Employment Contract
- Requirement: Provide the original and copy of the signed employment contract between the applicant and the employer. The contract must have a detailed description of the job and be stamped by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce or Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- No Objection Letter and Final Exit Slip
- Requirement: For applicants with previous employment in Saudi Arabia, provide a copy of the No Objection Letter from the previous employer, along with the Final Exit Slip.
- Medical Report
- Requirement: Provide the original medical report that is valid for 6 months. The report should be on the official form issued by Tasheer.
- The report must include all details, with a photo stapled, and the registered GP’s stamp should appear on both the photo and the report.
- The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) or Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) must attest the medical report.
- Monkey pox Virus Test
- Requirement: Provide a negative medical test result report for Monkeypox virus.
- Police Name Check
- Requirement: Provide the original police check record, valid for 6 months.
- Qualifications
- Requirement:
- Register for the qualification step via the Saudi Arabian authorities’ designated link: https://qvp.pacc.sa/home.
- Complete the registration and ensure it is successfully submitted.
- Provide evidence of successful registration by obtaining either a QR code or a printout as proof.
- Experience Letter (Optional or Upon Embassy’s Request)
- Requirement: If requested by the embassy, provide an experience letter from the applicant’s previous Australian employer. The letter should be stamped and signed by the Australian Chamber of Commerce.
- If the letter is from an overseas company, it must be stamped by the Saudi embassy in the respective country.
- Australian Granted Visa
- Requirement:
- For Non-Australian passport holders, provide a copy of the electronic Australian visa that is valid for at least 6 months at the time of submission.
- If the visa is stamped on your passport, a certified copy from the police station or notary public should be provided. Please note that a Justice of Peace stamp is not accepted.
- For New Zealand passport holders, no proof of Australian visa is requested.
- Passport Copy
- Requirement: Provide a copy of the front page of your passport, including personal details, passport number, and expiry date.
- If applying with a non-Australian passport, a copy of your Australian passport or citizenship certificate must be attested at the Police station. Note: A Justice of Peace stamp is not accepted.

Saudi Arabia Residence Visa Requirements

- Passport
- Requirement: The original passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of visa submission, in good condition, with at least two blank pages facing each other. The passport must not have any valid Saudi visa.

- Requirement: Provide two passport-size photos with a white background. One photo should be stapled to the application form, and the other should be attached separately.
- Application Form
- Requirement: Submit a fully completed visa application form with all requested information, signed, and submitted in original form.
- Mandatory fields include: Current and previous nationality, Religion, Marital status, Address, Mobile number, Email, and Port of entry.
- Saudi Sponsor Approved Invitation
- Requirement: Provide a COPY of the MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) invitation letter that has been issued and activated by MoFA. The Sponsor ID and pre-approval visa number must be clearly visible on the letter.
- No Objection Letter (For Professors, Doctor of Philosophy Families ONLY)
- Requirement: A letter from the Saudi employer confirming there is no objection to bring the family to reside in Saudi Arabia. This is required if the MoFA authorization is not supplied.
- The letter must be attested by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce.
- Additionally, attach a residence ID copy of the sponsor.
- Proof of Relationship
- For documents certified from Australia and Saudi Arabia:
- The proof of relationship documents do not require stamping. Kindly provide the original and a copy.
- For documents certified elsewhere:
- The proof of relationship document must be stamped by their respective consulate and DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade).
- Provide the original stamped document and a copy of the stamped original.
- Medical Report
- For applicants over 16 years old:
- Provide an original six-month valid medical report on the official form from Tasheer. The report must include:
- A photo stapled to the form.
- The registered GP’s stamp partially on the photo and the foot of the report.
- DFAT or AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) must stamp and attest the report to validate it.
- Provide an original six-month valid medical report on the official form from Tasheer. The report must include:
- For applicants under 16 years old:
- Provide an original six-month valid letter from the GP stating that the applicant is fit to travel.
- Immunization History (For applicants under 16 years old ONLY)
- Requirement: Provide an official letter stating the applicant’s immunization history.
- Monkeypox Virus Test
- Requirement: Applicants must provide a NEGATIVE medical test result report for the Monkeypox virus.
- Police Name Check (For applicants over 16 years old ONLY)
- Requirement: Provide an original police check record valid for six months, signed by DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade).
- Australian Granted Visa
- For non-Australians:
- Provide a copy of your electronic Australian visa that is valid for at least 6 months at the time of submission.
- If the visa is stamped in your passport, a certified copy by a police station or notary public should be provided. Justice of Peace stamps are not accepted.
- For New Zealand passport holders: No proof is required.

Temporary Work Visa
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Number and date of your visa authorisation.
- Original of the temporary work contract, signed from both the Saudi Arabian Company and the Company in Australia and bearing a stamp from the Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce and Saudi Foreign Ministry. Please note that the period of the contract should match that shown in the visa authorisation.
- Original, or copy of your degree/diploma. Copies should be stamped from the notary public or Police officer
- Certificate showing at least two (2) years prior experience working in a similar or related field of work, stamped by a recognised Chamber of Commerce in Australia. If the letter is from overseas it should be stamped by the Saudi Embassy in that country.
Family Visit Visa
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Number and date of your visa authorisation.
- Originals of proof of relationship to the sponsor (Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, etc.) with copy for the embassy, or a copy which has been stamped from a Notary Public, or police officer
- Where applicable, original Power of Attorney from the father/mother confirming there is no objection for the children to travel with the applicant, such letter to bear a stamp from a Notary Public in Australia, or police station
Please note that if children are included in the applicant’s passport, their name and photograph must have been added to the passport by authorities having the legal power to do so.
New Born Child Visa
NOTE: These instructions are applicable in circumstances where Australian passport holders with valid residence visa to Saudi Arabia wish to obtain a Saudi visa for a child newly born while in Australia.
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Passports of both parents as well as the passport of the child. The parent’s passport/s must show the residency in Saudi Arabia and the validity of their exit/reentry visa.
2. Submit a fully completed visa application form in the child’s name (To download a visa application form CLICK HERE).
3. Submit the original of the Birth Certificate, with a copy for Embassy records. The original will be returned with the passport when action is completed.
4. Letter from the sponsor in Saudi Arabia confirming no objection to bringing the baby under either the father or the mother’s name.
Transit Visa
NOTE: A Transit Visa is not required if the applicant verifies that the transit period in Saudi Arabia is no more than twelve (12) hours.
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. A copy of a confirmed airline ticket showing details of entry and departure date and times to Saudi Arabia, with a visa to the next country visa showing in his passport.
2.The period of transit should not be more than 3 days.
3. Ladies and children under sixteen (16) years of age must be accompanied by a male relative (father, husband, brother, uncle etc.). A certified copy of the proof of relationship, signed and stamped from a Notary Public, must be attached.
Student Visa
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Number and date of your visa authorisation.
- The acceptance letter from the University, indicating your name and the date and type of course you will be studying.
- Fully completed and signed Original Medical Report Form. A recent passport sized photograph must be stapled to this form.
- A letter of reference from your Government, wherever you live, acknowledging that the applicant is traveling to Saudi Arabia for study purposes.
- Copy of your degree/diploma, which should previously be stamped from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Canberra (contact the Cultural mission on 62693267 for their requirements in this regard).
- A reference from any recognised Islamic Society or Centre certifying that the applicant is a Muslim. This letter should be signed and stamped by the Society or Centre.
- Forward you’re original Birth Certificate, or a copy of your Birth Certificate certified by a Notary Public.Original certificates will be returned with the passport.
- There is NO visa fee applicable to the issue of a student visa.
- Original Police record check (NAME CHECK only is required – a fingerprint check is NOT REQUIRED).
Exit and Re-Entry Visa Extension
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Print out of your visa details supplied from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the Interior
- Original letter from your company or sponsor indicating that there is no objection to an extension of the visa.
- The residence visa in Saudi Arabia should be valid.
Please note the following points:

- The visa will not be extended for more than seven months from the date they exit from Saudi Arabia.
- For students, in the case where they have been issued a visa with a twelve month validity period, the visa will not be extended for more than one month beyond the initial visa validity, during which time the applicant should enter Saudi Arabia. A Letter of Evidence from your University/School,etc., confirming your study arrangements should be provided.
Tourist Visa
IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Number and date of your Visa Authorisation. This should be arranged by your sponsor in Saudi Arabia through the following website: www.scta.gov.sa.
Hajj Visa
APPLYING THROUGH CONTRACT TRAVEL AGENT (UNITED WORLD TRAVEL)
All applications for the issue of Hajj visa’s must be channelled through United World Travel.
Contract Travel Agent is an agent which has formed suitable contract arrangements with Saudi Arabian counterparts licensed to provide transportation and accommodation services to pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
VISA APPLICATION
- Complete using CAPITAL LETTERS and fill in all spaces. All names must be shown as they appear in the passport. Include two passport size photograph’s and ensure your passport has a minimum validity of six months. If children are entered in their parents passports, the child’s photograph must be affixed in the passport.
- Forward certificate from Medical Practitioner stating that the pilgrim is in good health, is free from contagious disease and had immunization against MENINGITIS (ACYW 135) .
- Include reference from any recognized Islamic Society or Centre certifying that the applicant is a Muslim.
- An ORIGINAL confirmed non-refundable airline ticket is to be stapled to the inside cover of each passport. Please also supply a photocopy of the airline ticket attached with the application form.
- Please note there is no fee applicable to the issue of the Hajj visa.

DELIVERY METHOD
A PREPAID, self-addressed, Courier bag or Express Post envelope is to be sent for the return of the passport.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEHRAM
- Women travelling without Mehram and wishing to travel for Hajj with a group, must be over 45 years of age. The leader of the group must be recognised by an Islamic Association and his wife must accompany the group in the same journey and the group must not have less than 5 women.
- Women under the age of 45 must be accompanied by Mehram and provide a certificate from the authority concerned (Mehram age should not be less than 15 years). PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the applicants to clearly specify the legitimate Mehram accompanying them on the application form. Failure to do so may result in resubmission of the application.
- Please provide photocopy of marriage certificate or any certificate identifying relationship for women.
FOREIGN PASSPORT HOLDERS
- Holders of foreign passports must have a valid residency permit showing at least two years prior residency in Australia/New Zealand.
- Diplomatic staff must submit an Official Note from their Embassy in Australia/New Zealand requesting the issue of a >Hajj visa.
LAWS AND REGULATIONS
During their stay, the pilgrim shall abide by all laws and regulations of the Kingdom. All foodstuffs, alcohol, drugs, narcotics, pornographic materials and all types of religious or political pamphlets are prohibited from entering the Kingdom, whether for personal use or otherwise. If the pilgrim violates the laws and regulations of the Kingdom, the pilgrim will be subject to penalty. The penalty for smuggling or spreading of drugs/narcotics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a capital punishment.

Umrah Visa
All applications for the issue of Umrah visa are to be channelled through Contract Agent United World Travel. A Contract Agent is an agent which has formed suitable contract arrangements with Saudi Arabian counterparts licensed to provide transportation and accommodation services to those entering Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and who has been granted access to the website of the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Note that the validity of the Umrah visa gives a maximum of one month in which to enter Saudi Arabia. Please note, however, that the Umrah season closes on 15 Ramadan, which means you MUST complete Umrah and depart Jeddah before this date.( contact United World Travel for the last update for Umrah visa and departure ex Saudi
United World Travel will inform you of the necessary information required to be forwarded to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia for the purpose of the issue of your Umrah visa. In general, these requirements will include:

- Passports (should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of return)
- One recent passport size colour photograph with a white background
- If a woman is 45 years old or older, no Mahram required.
- Non-Australian passport holders must submit copy of (VEVO) or visa grant notice.
- A vaccination certificate against Meningococcal Meningitis required.
- Please note above documents can be submitted to United World Travel office in person or scanned & emailed to us united@unitedworldtravel.com.au 2 weeks before departure.
- If any rules are updated or changed by the Saudi Government before departure you will be notified.
- Any new charges incurred by Saudi Government changes must be paid for by the passenger before departure.
- In case of a major drop in the AUD due to currency fluctuation we reserve the right to increase package prices within reason.
